    At Positive Planet India, Ankit was managing a national level project of ‘Uploading SHG Member Data Into Credit Bureaus’ aimed at driving policy change to mandate banks to report their SHG member data into the credit bureaus which will result in transparency in financial inclusion in India to the extent of Rs. 57,000 crore loan outstanding of over 7.9 million SHGs. As a core member of the team, he played an important role along with other stakeholders in the industry in prompting RBI to pass a mandate on 14th January 2016 instructing banks to collect report their SHG member data 7.9 million SHGs with over 100 million people into credit bureaus and in a span of 1.5 years which elevated the status of Positive Planet India from an NGO to an advisor to the industry. The Reserve Bank of India credited Positive Planet’s role in passing of this mandate along with a few other stakeholders.
