I am currently a SBI Youth for India fellow. I have 4 years of work experience in the development sector and I am looking to build a career in the domain of rural and urban development by utilizing my skill sets acquired over a period of 4 years.
My responsibilities as a SBI YFI Fellow in this Rural Development Fellowship includes: Living with rural communities in remote villages of India and work directly with Gram Vikas (NGO) in identifying gaps that would impact the lives of rural communities directly while ensuring sustainability. At present I am staying in Koinpur a tribal village located in the foothills of Mahendragiri and working in the sector of Education and Renewable energy. In the sphere of education I am focussing on developing a Nukkad Natak team to reach out to the community on socially relevant issues. I am working towards improving the spoken English of children by using an interactive radio based programme. I am working towards the electrification of a village by working with the liaising with government officials at the block and district level.
