Ranjan has 28 years of experience in the development sector. He has worked extensively in 10 states of India and abroad, and is experienced in managing and supervising complex multi-state, multi-dimensional, multi-stakeholder projects on a wide range of issues, viz., household food security, education, health, WATSAN, livelihoods, emergencies, child rights, child protection and trafficking. He has a rich experience of working with international non-governmental organisations, implementing programmes, in partnership with local NGO partners and the government. Ranjan is a member of CARE India’s Senior Leadership Team. In his capacity as the Regional Program Director-UP Hub, Ranjan provides management oversight and supervision support to CARE India’s project interventions in the states of Rajasthan, Uttar Pradesh, Madhya Pradesh, West Bengal, and an education project in Biha
Member of the SLT Senior Leadership Team – Apex Decision Making Body. As RPD responsible for managing CARE operation in 5 largest states 9 for emergencies; which covers almost 50 of the country spread in different social cultural and geographical conditions. Programs are on education livelihood; Maternal Child Health; Urban Health MDR TB; Nutrition and Disaster Emergencies. Gender mainstreaming is crosscutting in all the projects. The current program profile includes Girls Education Projects; ICDS strengthening including menstrual hygiene and reproductive health; Ensuring Sustainable Farming Initiative through Gender Nutrition; Nutrition Project; Newborn Survival Project; flood response relief, reconstruction-83 transitional shelters rebuilding of sustainable livelihoods. Recently concluded projects include Urban Health Project in 17 districts of UP; MDR TB project in West Bengal; MCH Nutrition project in Purulia, West Bengal.
