Summary

I, Arun Kumar, am a post graduate student in Tata Institute of Social Sciences in Mumbai, majoring Social Work in Community Organization and Development Practices, I learned a great deal, both academically and in field work. In the course of this major, I acquired practical knowledge that would be immensely useful in a professional setup. The extensive academic and field immersion also helped me confirm my strong interest in the sectors of community organization development, rural development, and sustainable livelihood generation. The specific and in-depth courses which formed a part of the curriculum included, but were not restricted to, rural development and governance, sustainable development and livelihood, social policy and planning etc. In addition to my academic social wok experiences, I also have one-year work experience with Manav Sewa Education and Charitable Trust which is an NGO in Ahmedabad. I also gained hands-on fieldwork experiences in all the three different sectors
