The Grants Management Officer will be responsible for the overall management of Sub Recipients (SRs) and Sub Sub Recipients (SSRs) of Alliance India under specific grants assigned to them. S/he will responsible or the timely disbursement of funds to Alliance India’s SRs and its proper accounting and ensuring compliance with local legislation requirements. S/he will work closely with the corporate accounts and programmes team to ensure that donor contractual obligations and project deliverables are passed onto and met by Alliance India’s partner organisations. S/he is also responsible for providing technical support to Alliance India’s SRs and SSRs in all areas of financial management and compliance related matters.
We are looking for a dynamic self-starter with significant experience and/or understanding of principles of NGO support and/or donor environment in a national level NGO. The person should also have good experience in budgeting, monitoring expenditure, preparing financial reports and reconciling project accounts. Good understanding of international donor funding environment, including reporting requirements, procedures and priorities are also essential. The candidate should also have proven experience in managing donor audits and also undertaking internal audits of organisations with thorough understanding about statutory and contractual requirements. The candidates who have proven experience in providing capacity building support to organisations in the area of financial management and compliance related issues will be given preference.
