Job Description

The Position The Union is now seeking a Technical Officer -Challenge TB based in New Delhi. The contract is for an initial period of one year as an employee of The Union South-East Asia Office. The contract may be extended depending on satisfactory performance and availability of funds. About the Project Challenge TB is a USAID funded global project led by KNCV with an objective to accelerate the global fight against TB, in partnership with the international consortium of partner organizations including The Union, American Thoracic Society (ATS), FHI 360, Interactive Research & Development (IRD), Japan Anti-Tuberculosis Association (JATA), Management Sciences for Health (MSH), PATH and the World Health Organization (WHO). The Union has been identified as the lead partner for Challenge TB project. TB still continues to be a major public health problem in India, and requires intensified & collaborative efforts from all stakeholders in the country to achieve the Country’s vision of “T

Eligibility Criteria

Qualifications: • MBBS or MPH and TB/ HIV would be desirable • Experience in Public Health Programme management 3-6 years • Knowledge of public health programs (preferably TB) • Excellent communications and public relations skills • Grant writing/ proposal writing for projects Desirable • Understanding of the broad landscape of the Revised National TB Control Program • Prior experience with international organizations on USAID or other donor funded projects • Experience in providing technical support to public health projects Competencies and skills • Excellent negotiation and advocacy skills and ability to build confidence and manage relationships with corporate partners • Background in developing and implementing advocacy and partnership strategies; • Strong self-motivation and an ability to set and achieve goals; • Flexibility and willingness to work on a range of tasks; • Ability to plan, set priorities, handle multiple tasks under tight deadlines; • Excellent drafting and p
