Job Description

This position is responsible for the operations of the Career Cell Program. The role holder is responsible for working with students and mapping their interests as well as connecting them to various placement and vocational courses to expand their career options. 1. Develop and Supervise the Career Cell: • Develop the overall Strategy for the Career Cell in line with the organisational strategy along with senior management • Guide the Career Cell Team and build individual and team capacities • Tie ups with companies for interest mapping / finding out aspirations of students • Supervise the Scholarship Program • Participating in Career fairs and managing Alumni association 2. Coordination with Program Team: • Coordinate with the Program team to ensure that activities and opportunities are conveyed to students on a regular basis • Collaborate with Program team to ensure smooth functioning of Career Cell activities 3. Vocational skills and Scholarship • Partner with Career Counsellor

Eligibility Criteria

Qualification Any graduate/Post graduate diploma in vocational training/ Career Counselling Experience Experience of designing and implementing vocational opportunities programs and initiatives in similar scale organization

  • About Organization:Nikita worked in different capacities as a Journalist, Lecturer and Social Worker before qualifying for the prestigious Union public Services commission. After spending over 3 years in various administrative positions in DRDO, Air headquarters and NCC directorate, Nikita felt the urge to do something beyond and left the service to work for various NGOs. She spent some time at Save the children India and Sahas Sports foundation. It was while working on a social project she came across night schools accidentally. What she saw and heard compelled her to start Masoom in 2008 an organization focused on improving the night schools. In 2006 Nikita initiated a participatory research project on Night Schools in Mumbai. The research was sponsored by Partners for Urban Knowledge Action and Research (PUKAR), an organisation that offers fellowships for young researchers to uproot socio-economic issues in Mumbai.
