Job Description

Capacity Building: • Develop appropriate tools and methods to assess the capacity building needs of collectives • Assess the capacity development needs of various collectives • Develop capacity building plans and resource pool (person and material) for collectives • Train and orient implementing partner NGO and animators as trainers with the necessary skills and capacities to support strengthening of collectives • Lead capacity needs assessment of other institutional actors, as per project requirements  • Lead development of relevant IEC materials, demonstration and extension designs, capacity building tools, methodologies and modules  Institution Development: • Facilitate (through implementing partner NGO) evolution and adoption of relevant norms, systems, policies and procedures by collectives to strengthen their governance and management  • Develop capacities of community institutions to participate and play an active role in management and governance of community resou

Desired Candidate Profile

Post Graduation - MSW

• Understanding of the social, economic and political context and status of Adivasis (esp. women) in India  • Proven skills in community mobilization and institutional development  • Strong training and communication skills • Documentation and reporting skills  • Familiarity with PRA tools and techniques • Fluency in Hindi and English is essential and knowledge of Chhattisgarhi will be an added advantage  • Proficiency in the use of Windows packages- Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and Internet
