Job Description

• Assist NVBDCP in developing strategies to strengthen the surveillance and monitoring systems of the Kala azar elimination initiative. • Undertake periodic review of the HMIS and other programme related data together with the M&E officers at the states and districts to ensure quality implementation of programme. • Support the preparation of monthly, quarterly and yearly updates and reports including development and maintaining of a Kala-azar dashboard. • Provide support in developing capacity of the personnel involved at different levels within the NVBDCP in the Kala azar elimination initiative • Undertake visits to endemic states and provide support to the M&E officers at the state level and feedback to concerned health authorities. • Work with stakeholders to review and monitor all aspects of the kala-azar elimination initiative on behalf of the NVBDCP. • Liaise with concerned officials in the Ministry of Health and Family welfare (MoHFW), the Integrated Disease Surveillance Prog

Eligibility Criteria

Post Graduate qualification in Preventive Medicine/Bio-statistics/Population Sciences/Public Health/ Life Sciences. MBBS preferred”. At least 10 years of work experience in monitoring and evaluation, in the domain of public health, with a minimum of 3 years of experience of working with the Government health sector.

Desired Candidate Profile

Post Graduation - Post Graduate-Other

Should be conversant with the National Health Programme and HMIS. • Strong analytical skills, good writing and communication skills in English and Hindi • Working knowledge of computers including MS Office package Desirable • Experience in statistics/database management programmes desirable • Networking, people management and relationship management. Experience of disease surveillance and disease elimination/eradication programmes will be desirable.
