Job Description

Nature of position: Full time for 2 years on contractual basis, can be extended upto additional 6 months. NASSCOM Foundation is seeking a qualified professional to fill the position of State Coordinator for the IPLM Secretariat set up to steer the project. The position holder will be expected to lead on all aspects of the project and field operations, work in partnerships with Libraries & relevant Government Departments and act as a bridge between NASSCOM Foundation, Libraries and J & K Libraries Department. Duties and responsibilities include: o Serve as a bridge between the secretariat and state government as well as librarians in the state of Jammu & Kashmir o Liaise regularly with State Government, selected Libraries and NASSCOM Foundation/ IPLM Secretariat on day to day basis to inform project progress and to discuss challenges & opportunities that arise. o Manage and work with partner organizations, if any, at local and state level o Lead state level advocacy and communication ac

Eligibility Criteria

Master’s degree in Business Administration or Library Sciences or Social Work, or any other related fields.

Desired Candidate Profile

Post Graduation - MSW

Minimum of 5-7 years’ experience working in similar capacity, if not then experience in the development sector preferably. • Proven experience in stakeholder management and planning. • Experience in working with Government Departments. • Experience in working with development sector organizations and with social issues would be preferable.. Competencies: • Proven networking skills. • Excellent communication (oral and written English), presentation, interpersonal and negotiating skills for engaging with a wide variety of contacts. • Good conceptual skills and ability to think and operate innovatively & independently; • Good administration and organizational skills and ability to optimize independent use of time against variable workload; • Ability to work well independently with partners and within teams; and • Proficient in MS Office Desirable: • Familiarity with political, economic, and social issues in the state of Jammu & Kashmir; • An understanding of regional context of public lib
