Job Description

•Corresponding with enquirers, donors and supporters worldwide. •Contributing creativity and ideas to the development of strategies. •Writing promotional material including appeals and articles for the newsletter and website. •Other promotional duties as required.

•A postgraduate qualification in communications or equivalent or adequate experience in lieu of qualifications

Desired Candidate Profile

Post Graduation - Post Graduate-Other

•A postgraduate qualification in communications or equivalent or adequate experience in lieu of qualifications. •Initiative, motivation and proven capacity for leadership. •A proven track record in promotional work with at least 3-5 years’ experience. •Excellent spoken and written communication skills in English, and demonstrable experience of effective communication with a wide range of audiences in a variety of contexts. •Highly developed networking skills. •The ability to speak inspirationally to large audiences. •The ability to think creatively, brainstorm a range of ideas considering a target audience and subsequently produce a promotional product. •A clear sense of how to target written and verbal communications for a range of different purposes and audiences. •A demonstrable concern for the welfare of slum dwellers and enthusiasm for the ways in which Asha serves these communities, which will be manifest in your approach to inspiring people about Asha’s work. •Computer literacy.
