Job Description


Centre for Science and Environment (CSE), India’s leading public interest research institution known for its rigorous scientific policy research and advocacy on environmental issues, is looking for a Programme Director to head its Climate Change and Renewable Energy unit.He/she is expected to take the lead role in overall research, advocacy and campaign for an effective, ambitious and equitable climate change agreement. In addition, he/she will lead our effort to advocate for increased share of renewable energy, particularly in the context of energy access for the poorest. We need a colleague with leadership skills so that you can work with colleagues and build alliances. We need a colleague who will work independently, but also collaboratively. But most importantly, we are looking for a colleague who wants to be part of the change we need in the world. We need commitment but also a high order of skills; to research, to write and to persuade.

Salary will be commensurate with qualifications and experience.

Eligibility Criteria

1.12 to 15 years of experience in research and writing is essential.

Desired Candidate Profile

Post Graduation - MSW

 Candidates with both technical and social sciences qualifications can apply. A mix of technical and policy background will be preferred.
