Job Description

1. Research, M&E, Assessment:


• Develop and update the program(s) Monitoring and Evaluation Plan, including review of its theory of change, results framework, identify indicators, relevant and applicable baseline data collection strategies and methodologies, and the financial and human resources needed to successfully implement the strategy.


• Develop tools for data collection and protocols for performance monitoring as well as baseline, midline and end line and other assessments as needed.


• Ensure data collected are uploaded to web – based platform;


• Analyse ongoing quantitative / qualitative data at different points in the program leading to the specific program results.


• Conduct field visits, as necessary, to develop monitoring/ performance management plans;


• Regularly review programmatic work plans to ensure the timely achievement of results.


• Ensure regular communication of program activities to all key stakeholders and contribute to the quarterly, annual report and project reporting to Trustees, with the support of the CFO.


• Collaborate with the Project Heads to monitor the progress of the program in terms of the compliance requirements of results and indicators.


• Work closely with programs and institutional partners to explain KEF processes and understand how these processes relate to the project’s technical work, and to promote related training as needed.


• Manage resources and ensure that Monitoring and Evaluation information and resources are up to date, available to staff and widely disseminated.


• Curate and configure the best assessment tools for various programs based on appropriateness and relevance to program objectives; other related duties as assigned.


2. Communication


• Furthering understanding and recognition of the organisation while leading advancement, communications, PR, external relations, marketing and other related functions.


• Develop communications strategy for KEF in line with overall strategy with the support of the CEO and execute on the strategy


• Lead institutional advancement initiatives and brand identity


• Creation of business contents, for example, newsletter, blogs, social influencers, annual reports, and other collateral materials.


• Oversee all online web content and communications as well as social media interactions. The reason for this is to ensure that all content put out by KEF, both in print and online is edited to conform to the KEF’s overall values and messages


• Organizing and preparing presentations, speeches, talking points, and other external media relations materials.


• External & Internal communications.


• Plan, monitor and execute the Organisation events.

Eligibility Criteria

• Bachelor’s degree in international development, social science, economics or related field is required.


• Experience in designing and leading development sector programs and activities along with experience in analyzing quantitative and qualitative data.


• At least fifteen years of experience in designing, managing and implementing results – based M&E activities for Economic Growth, Livelihoods, Education, Health and Parenting.


• Experience working with development organisation and knowledge of reporting procedures, best practices, guidelines and tools for monitoring and evaluation, especially impact evaluation and a strong knowledge of reporting requirements is an advantage.


• Excellent interpersonal skills and teamwork, effective communication skills, able to make formal and informal presentations both orally and in writing and produce professional and analytical reports and program documents.


• Experience handling advancement, external relations, communications, stakeholder management, and marketing experience.  

Desired Candidate Profile

Post Graduation - Post Graduate-Other

• Master’s degree is preferred


• Previous experience working with Foundations desired.


• Fluency in spoken and written Hindi and English; Marathi is optional.



• Show a deep interest and skill in new and emerging technological appliances, software, and applications, which are necessary for accessing large segments of media outlets.
