Job Description

Job Role: 

This role is responsible for providing direction to the development of the BYST Mentoring India, driving performance to ensure that BYST achieves its Strategic Objective. The position requires an experienced program management professional with the right mix of relevant experience and skills, an ability to flex between the strategic and the tactical, outstanding verbal and written communication skills, and a high level of energy and flexibility to get things done and thrive in a fast-paced, team-oriented product development environment.


Job Responsibilities:


  1. Be accountable for the end-to-end planning and execution of one or more projects and/or Agile teams.
  2. Understand product strategy and benefits of key deliverables in his/her area of responsibility.
  3. Work with product owner to promote and contribute to the improvement of the product backlog.
  4. Facilitate sprint planning, backlog grooming, daily stand-up meetings, reviews/demos, retrospectives, and other scrum ceremonies.
  5. Facilitate discussion and conflict resolution.
  6. Coach the team in estimation techniques.
  7. Track and remove impediments for the team.
  8. Set goals and develop metrics and reports using Rally to help the team understand its health and progress
  9. Coach team members to understand Scrum and the Agile Principles
  10. Ensure clear communication and collaboration among the Product Owner and members of the Development organization
  11. Identify business analysis deliverables for projects and manage their execution
  12. Manage the communication of new services, tracking effectiveness, and leveraging multiple channels for an effective message.
  13. Successfully engage in multiple initiatives simultaneously.
  14. Drive and challenge technology owners on their assumptions of how they will successfully execute their plans
  15. Participate in solution reviews to assess user experience to identify usability impacts and recommend solutions or processes to mitigate impacts.
  16. Become a Subject Matter Expert (SME) in two or more technical areas to be able to develop and manage communications and interactions with end users
  17. Be a change agent, ensuring users embrace new and innovative technology.


Reports To : Sr. Director

Team Size to handle : IT Project Manager, Project Coordinator & IT-Admin Support

Preference & Age Limit  : No preference on gender; however, age should be above 40 years












Eligibility Criteria

1. A graduate in IT; post-graduation would be an added advantage.

2. Should have played minimum 15 years of leadership role in e-learning product/project management.


Desired Candidate Profile

Graduation - B.Tech/B.E

1. Excellent prioritization, negotiation and communication skills

2. Proven written and oral communication skills

3. Ability to work independently with light supervision

4. Good exposure in the development of e-learning products.

The scope of the project is to plan, design, execute the Mentoring India where current and future mentors are trained and accredited through a proven process of assessment and accreditation. This project also includes creation of Entrepreneur Online Learning (EOL) modules for standardized lessons on basic business concepts to mentees of BYST. The successful implementation of this project will help many organizations enhance the mentoring skills of its employees / associates and therefore improve productivity and performance. The primary focus is on mentoring entrepreneurship in India – the core BYST mission.
