Job Description

  1. Be responsible to deliver on program outputs and outcomes
  2. Lead the Fact Check and Media Literacy online training for Community Radio reporters together with Factly trainers
  3. Develop the MIL and Fact Checking training
  4. Develop and supervise media production of Media Literacy audio modules and fact check bulletins for all CR stations in English and Hindi
  5. Supervise and track work of CR partners and monitor their broadcast and feedback received from local audiences
  6. Develop a qualitative ethnographic research methodology to reflect on this work and write about it.

Eligibility Criteria

  1. Media and communication/journalism training & at least a graduation/post-graduation degree in the field
  2. Excellent English and Hindi writing and speaking skills. Additional Languages an asset
  3. Excellent coordination and people skills
  4. Clear understanding about Community Media & Community Radio principles & philosophy
  5. Ideal candidates should have visited at least one functioning CR station supported by an NGO
  6. Excellent understanding of technology, website functioning, online media and social media
  7. Fluency with computers especially all word processing and data software and ability to create presentations in MS Powerpoint, and manage reporting through use of Microsoft office tools
  8. Be able to show initiative and leadership and take the program forward
  9. Have problem solving skills and with the capacity to think independently and creatively in order to address the needs of the project
  10. Be detail oriented and have patience with community members and their skill sets
  11. A minimum of two years’ experience in communication /journalism or related
  12. Photography, video and audio production skills valuable
  13. Previous Fact Checking training/work will be an asset
