Job Description

DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES of M&E OFFICER:


• Monitor and support maintenance of project MIS

• Collect, compile and analyse district-level data

• Ensure accuracy and the completeness of data fields in all databases

• Present analytical findings to internal and external partners

• Develop and implement procedures for effective data management, data sharing and data analysis

• Support the programs and Data Managers for accurate and timely data collection, collation and analysis pertaining to the PPSA project

• Prepare project-related reports, presentations

• Ensure timely transmission of reports

• Assist project director, project lead and project manager by analysing and deep diving in data for timely decision making as well as evidence generation

• Support field staff in data quality checks, documentation and analysing reports for dissemination.

• Develop a basic and technical understanding of Tuberculosis concepts and terminology to more comfortably assist in program data management.

• Assist other field staff with uploading data and reports internally through the organization’s web-based data management systems

• Assist other field staff with uploading data and reports externally through the NTEP’s web-based data management systems as well as the physical records and documents

• Hold data quality assurance system, strengthen it and ensure quality data in MIS (offline and online)

• Monitor all project activities, and progress towards achieving the project output

• Maintenance and upkeep of the computers and their accessories

• Perform other jobs assigned by the supervisor


ABILITIES/SKILLS:


• Good programmatic analytic skills

• Ability to analyse with adequate attention to details

• Ability to produce documents and reports of professional quality and coordinate activities independently

• Experience in designing and conducting qualitative and quantitative research

• Computer skills demonstrating competency in MS Office Suite and good in handling advanced excel skills

• Ability to multi-task and work in a multi-cultural team

• Ability to develop productive working relationships with internal team and other stakeholders.

• Fluency in spoken and written English and Hindi required

• Excellent organizational skills and team player


QUALIFICATIONS/EXPERIENCE/SKILLS/COMPETENCIES:


• Graduate degree or equivalent in Social Work/Sociology/Business Management/Statistics or another relevant field.

• Demonstrated at least 2 years of monitoring & evaluation experience working with field-based staff to ensure quality program implementation and learning for reputed national/international NGOs or government.

• Experience in working in research tools, monitoring tools, data handling and report development

• Experience in managing different digital platforms for data management or MIS system.

• Quantitative and qualitative data analysis skills, and design and implementation of monitoring systems and evaluation.

• Knowledge about Tuberculosis (TB) and NTEP Programme.
