Job Description

Roles and Responsibilities


1.Looking after the project activities, outputs and outcomes in the Gram Panchayats(GP)/villages allocated under the projects. The candidate must be very conversant with the objectives of the project and ensure the targets are met in territory allocated to her/him.

2.The project is about agriculture based livelihoods and candidate would have to ensure doubling of farmer incomes through introduction of improved POPs of stable and star crops and introduction and expansion of High value Crops in the area.

3.Carry out farmer awareness, training and support through Community Resource Persons (CRPs) and technical and other inputs as in the project.

4.Developing and training a team of women CRPs in the GPs allocated. Prepare their work plans, monitor and support them in the field and carry out verification of data submitted by them.

5.Work with women farmers that are formed into SHGs by TCL or under UPSRLM. In working area ensure healthy SHGs, VOs and Federations.

6.Maintain all field data, records and files and submit various reports as required.

7.Look after all business activities that the women groups as Producer groups engage in from procurement to input supply and any kind of enterprise.

8.Network with the Gram Pradhans in the Panchayats and the block officials, to ensure convergence of various project activities with MGNREGA, and other schemes of the government.

9.Work for convergence of the project with different government schemes and ensure that the farmers are registered and benefit from different schemes. Tract and keep record of benefits.

10.Oversee the credit related activities of the groups of internal funds, funds from UPSRLM and banks, MFIs, KCC, etc. and provide data on the credit made available to the farmers.

11.Carry out layering and convergence with other projects of TCL to multiply the impact at the household level.

Qualification


•Graduate /Post graduate in agriculture/ Horticulture/Economics.

•At least 1 years of work experience in similar field

•Should have computer knowledge and efficiency in MS Office and internet surfing

•Excellent verbal and written communication and Presentation Skills
