Position Objective:
To provide assistance and support for PETA Youth (PETA's outreach programme for teenagers and young adults) and Compassionate Citizen (PETA's humane-education programme for children) to help advance their goals

Primary Responsibilities and Duties:
• Conduct research and analysis to support PETA's youth outreach efforts
• Understand the demographics of PETA's youth outreach target audiences and identify brands to help promote our youth-oriented activities
• Research celebrity-related news and trends, including information about top rock bands, and share ideas during PETAYouth's celebrity meeting, ensuring that PETAYouth's work always reflects those trends
• Maintain a calendar of youth outreach and school events across India and arrange and attend tabling events, speaking events, workshops or other opportunities at college festivals, concerts, schools and other places across the country where young people or teachers gather
• Maintain a database of media outlets, websites and blogs that cover youth-related news
• Prepare and maintain detailed agenda and meeting notes for various youth outreach meetings
• Develop activist opportunities for young people
• Promote PETA Youth’s work through online and offline means, including by working with the online marketing coordinator
• Work to make young people and educators excited about animal rights through constant online and offline interaction
• Handle PETA's youth outreach video work, including video interviews with bands or other celebrities, upon request
• Communicate with and give interviews to the media about PETA's youth outreach work, upon request
• Manage youth outreach inventory
• Maintain and update a database of contacts who are important to PETA's youth outreach work, keeping clear files and detailed records
• Perform any other duties assigned by the supervisor
Qualifications:
• Fluent in Hindi
• Knowledge of other local Indian languages a plus
• Degree in a related field and/or proven youth marketing experience
• Thorough knowledge of animal rights issues
• Public speaking experience
• Knowledge of and interest in youth culture, celebrities and social media required
• Understanding of modern marketing concepts and strategies
• Proven excellent relationship-building skills and interpersonal skills
• Self-motivation and the ability to focus on both team and individual goals
• Proven exceptional analytical, organisational and time-management skills
• Proven excellent written and verbal communication skills
• Creative, energetic, social, confident, assertive, persistent, persuasive and results-oriented personality
• Proven strong strategic-thinking skills and long-term vision
• Commitment to the objectives of the organisation
