Task description

The consultant research will assist the principal investigator (PI) of the study in implementing in-depth interviews. The tasks will include conducting the in-depth interview, transcription, translation of the interviews, coding of in-depth interviews, and quality check where required. The consultant will brief the PI after each interview.

Task requirements

1. Previous experience of working in the fields of HIV, violence, and working with adolescents living with HIV or other marginalized populations. Prior experience in qualitative research will be preferred.

2. Fluency in both Hindi and Marathi. Prior experience in translating documents from Marathi to English and vice versa will be appreciated.

3. Qualifications: Advanced degree (PhD., Masters) in anthropology, sociology, psychology, public health, or social work with at least 2-5 years of work experience. PhD. will be preferred.

The project will examine the intersections of minoritized status, bullying victimization, and substance use among adolescents living with and without HIV in India along with the roles of social factors on both outcomes. We seek a consultant for the qualitative phase of the study. In-depth interviews will be implemented among adolescents living with HIV.
