FAT has started an Jugaad (innovation) lab for young school girls to explore how hands-on STEM( Science Technology Engineering Mathematics) learning in a girl friendly environment can encourage and support girls to pursue STEM education. The Lab has been created as a space for girls to learn about STEM through doing - a place where they can tinker, build, break and rebuild stuff to learn through hands-on work and experimentation - while also understanding the patriarchal structures and systematic discrimination that prevents them from accessing opportunities in STEM and how they can counter such challenges. volunteers The Program Associate – Jugaad Lab will be responsible to work collaboratively with the Jugaad Lab team to rum the Lab under the guidance of the Program Manager

Eligibility Criteria

He/She should have a bachelors degree.

Desired Candidate Profile

Graduation - Graduate-Other

• Interest and passion in doing science and tech experiments. • Willing to work with schools to promote STEM education for girls, do advocacy for STEM education for girls etc. •Interest in playing with science kits, do- it- yourself projects etc. •Experience and passion for working with children. •Willingness to work in field •Good communication skills in Hindi and English, good documentation skills •Openness to work with government officials, liaising and networking. People connected with making, hacking and open source community will be given preference.
