Geographical focus: Kolkata and West Bengal

Contractual Timeline: April 2022- September 2022

Educational Qualification and skill requirements:

-Graduate / Post Graduate Degree in Library Science/Information -Science/Documentation Science or an equivalent professional degree

-IT Skills and knowledge of library database

-Effective organizational and interpersonal communication skills

-Knowledge of computer, internet and commercially available library software

Experience Required: 1-2 years working in Library; confident freshers may also apply

Summary of the job:

Kolkata Sanved is looking for a self-motivated Librarian who is digitally savvy and knowledgeable. The librarian will be in charge of a variety of tasks, such as designing the digital library for Kolkata Sanved, cataloging library resources, maintaining library records, and planning the development of the Kolkata Sanved digital archive.

In addition, the candidate should have extensive knowledge of library database systems, as well as excellent communication and organizational skills. The candidate must have the skill to work independently.

Your responsibilities:

-Plan, design and formulate Digital Library

-Develop Library policy and develop copyright system

-Collect and catalog Kolkata Sanved’s all resources including history, Audio-visual documentation, research, articles and films

-Collect and catalog library resources including books, films, and publications

-Maintain Library records and ensure it is updated

-Oversee the check-out process for books and other resource material

-Manage the planning of digital library and database

-Ensure that the library runs smoothly on a daily basis

-Making sure all users can access library resources

-responding to requests from any library users

-Develop Dance Movement Therapy education programs for public to create awareness

-Clarify the use of library amenities and provide information about library policies, copyright

-Ensure that the library meets the needs of user groups.

Expected Consultancy fees Rs. 20,000/- per month
