Job Description

Roles and Responsibilities:

  • Ensure organizational development initiatives are appropriately integrated and aligned with strategic goals.
  • Design and implement organizational development and change management strategies, processes, and interventions, to include initiatives that foster a high-performance culture, where valuing learning, continuous improvement, and diversity are the norms.
  • Identify opportunities for performance improvement by undertaking internal diagnosis, and process/system reviews for understanding barriers and possible solutions.
  • Develop and implement guidelines for talent management and succession planning.
  • Collaborate with Program Directors for the design and delivery of appropriate and relevant ‘Professional Development Plans’ for their staff.
  • Develop coaching, mentoring, and secondment guidelines to support staff development and the achievement of Personal Development Plans.
  • Lead the development of the ‘Staff Skills and Knowledge Database’ for optimizing the diverse talents of the organization.
  • Design and manage the new employee induction program.
  • Contribute to the development of policies and procedures in collaboration with the supervisor.
  • Perform or assume other duties as assigned by the supervisor.

Abilities/Skills:

  • Ability to work within an international project team and communicate regularly with a variety of team members in multiple locations.
  • Ability to handle a variety of assignments under strict deadlines.
  • Strong written and oral communication skills in English and Hindi. Knowledge of any other language will be an advantage.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office and Office 365 suites.
  • Self-motivated and detail-oriented with a strong work ethic and a collaborative, professional team spirit.

Qualifications/Knowledge/Experience:

  • At least a Masters’ Degree in Human Resource Management/Industrial Relations/ Business Management. Additional Degrees or Certifications in Psychology, Capacity Development, Training, Instructional Design, Coaching and Mentoring will be an advantage.
  • At least 10 years of experience working with national/ international NGOs with at least 4-5 years of experience in a complex, multi-site organization.
  • Track record in delivering successful human resource and organizational development projects and supporting major organizational change, influencing, building, and sustaining relationships to achieve results.
  • Experience of, and commitment to, continuous organizational improvement and the ability to act as a change agent.
  • Prior experience in working with international NGOs and public health will be an advantage.
