About the Jeevan Aakaar Program

A 5-year scholarship program for meritorious girl students starting from Grade 11 to Grade 15 from economically deprived backgrounds in Cuttack and Bhubaneswar in Odisha.

The scholarship program to include financial assistance, mentorship, life skills and vocational training.

The aim is to ensure the scholarship students become independent and self-reliant through successful completion of their education.

Key Responsibilities include

a. Identification of needy and meritorious girl students

b. Scholarship disbursement programs

c. Networking with Government schools and Education Departments

d. Training programs for students

e. Communications-Report writing and case studies

f. Database Management of beneficiaries

g. Volunteer Management

Qualifications and Experience

a. MSW or Master's of Sociology

b. At least 3 years of experience in working in NGOs preferably in Education space

b. Inquisitive

c. Openness to learn

d. Eager to try new things

e. Working independently
