Job Description

Responsibilities:


• Design and format print materials (in English and other languages) using style sheets and templates and developing branding designs

• Produce large text documents that include imported graphics, exhibits, tables, pull-out sheets, etc.

• Develop, enhance, and/or modify graphic/artwork requiring creative design thinking.

• Utilize a variety of methods such as color, type, illustration, photography, animation, and various print and layout techniques.

• Participate in the development of original designs or adaptations

• Manage multiple projects of different types independently and/or in collaboration with other GECO team members or organizational staff

• Work with editorial staff and other design/desktop publishing staff to develop appropriate formats/designs for content

• Organize and catalogue graphics files

• Develop templates for proposal covers and text, presentations and other materials


Qualifications:


• BA in graphic design, visual communication, and/or a related field such as instructional design

• More than 5 years of related experience in design, editing, video, rich media, editing and desktop publishing

• Design portfolio that reflects experience in design, editing, and coordination of collateral materials and video, competency in producing e-Learning materials in Articulate 360

• Proficient in Adobe Creative Suite, including Photoshop, InDesign, Illustrator, and WordPress, and MS Word, PowerPoint, and Excel

• Experience in various eLearning initiatives and instructional design activities


Abilities/Skills:


• Knowledge of basic communications principles in brand management and design

• Highly adept and adaptive, with ability to learn and apply new skills quickly, particularly in the area of computer technologies, including use of editing software and scanners

• Highly organized with ability to manage and prioritize multiple projects and work within a crossfunctional deadline-driven environment

• Sound judgement and independent decision-making ability

• Ability to work collaboratively and effectively as a member of a team

• Ability to proactively organize and manage own work
