Job Description

Special Educator is responsible to develop educational and life skills program for children with special needs and improving their quality of life.

Responsibilities and duties:

• Assess children’s abilities and craft intervention plan

• Adapt learning material to children’s need

• Keep track of and reflect on their progress

• Monitor children’s behavioral pattern and arrange appropriate interventions

• Find engaging activities to develop skills of children

• Manage classroom crisis and resolve conflict.

• Collaborate and support other professionals and staffs who work with children with disabilities

• Maintain and update individual and group records during sessions

• Establish and maintain a safe, orderly and children centered environment.

• Conduct observational assessment.

• Improve children in their sitting tolerance by giving activities.

• Developing social skills and vocational skills of children with disabilities.

Required qualification:

• Minimum qualification: Diploma/Degree in Special education

• Preference given to candidates with RCI certification.

• Both experienced/fresher can apply

• Language requirement: Fluency in Tamil (reading/writing/speaking) is a must.
