Job Description

Requirement: SAATHII is seeking services of experts with proven experiences and skills in copy editing and rewriting SOPs, manuals and training curriculum. The experts are also expected to have commendable knowledge and experience in the HIV/AIDS prevention, care and support and treatment programs in India.


Key responsibilities

• Work with training content developers and help them to present their ideas and stories well to make it easier for the master trainers to understand the contents and interpret the facilitator’s guide

• Read the content of the HIV/AIDS training modules for the staff in Targeted Intervention programs and rectify spelling, punctuation, and grammatical errors

• Rephrase texts to make it easier for the master trainers to understand

• Verify facts cited in the training modules

• Work with the content developers and suggest for changing words, rearranging sentences and paragraphs, and modifying case scenarios and examples to improve clarity and accuracy.

• Design layout for the text, photos, and illustrations that make the training modules look well presented


Education and experience for the position:

Essential:

• A bachelor’s degree in communications, journalism, or English, combined with previous writing and copy-editing experience

• Experience/ exposure in the field of training and capacity building at the state and national level

• Strong language skills and enjoys writing and must be an excellent writer overall

• Must have good knowledge of grammar and punctuation rules and be able to express ideas clearly and logically

• Experience of developing curriculum/guidelines/SOP for the HIV intervention programme


Desirable:

• Relevant experience of working with NACO/SACS/TSU/STRC/TI projects

• 5 to 7 years of experience in HIV /AIDS prevention programmes at the state or national level
