Job Description

Main Tasks & Responsibilities :


• Designing, implementing and monitoring the nutritional related activities in the project (all the sites of intervention) ac-cording to DWBI protocols, standards and procedures in order to improve the nutritional conditions of the target popu-lation.

• Make mapping of the stakeholder and linkages for nutritional packages support in collaboration with Patient Sup-port team to ensure all the beneficiaries have socionutritional assessment and design proper balance diet accord-ing to local available product and nutritional supplement.

• Schedules and organizes all nutrition related activities, in order to efficiently maintain the continuity of the nutritional healthcare at the standard quality levels.

• Supervise the implementation of the nutritional part of the project programs according to DWBI protocols, stand-ards. This includes:

• Draw up outpatients activity planning,

• Follow up/monitoring the nutritional evolution of patients and discuss the problem cases taking part in the medical meetings, and install referral system

• Check that medical and nutrition prescriptions are carried out.

• Check the diffusion, knowledge and application of medical, nutritional and anthropometric protocols.

• Reporting any malfunction to the project biomedical service.

• Ensure that the target population is well informed about the functioning of the nutritional intervention, and the state and evolution of the beneficiary’s nutritional health

• Supervises, in cooperation with the pharmacist and project medical referent, the nutrition related stock of the pharmacy, ensuring reception and storage of orders (nutritional items), preparing new orders when required, su-pervising expiration terms and consumption patterns, in order to ensure, a rationale use as well as pharmacy stock levels are permanently updated and above minimum safety point.

• Ensure correct nutritional data collection (registers, nutritional forms, morbidity forms), compile weekly and monthly statistics for the outpatients unit, report this information to the line manager and provide feedback on the results to the team.

• Be the linkage with MEW NGOs/other organizations working in underutrition in community (regular updtae of the stekeholders mapping).

• Maintain register of SAM children admited in hospitals (follow them up in colaboration with DWBI pediatrician)

• Nutritional advise for selected patients in MEW and clinic.

• Ensure nutritional assessment for all TB patients and proper documentation in files.

• Ensure road to health card is implemented for all under 5 years in close coordination with Pediatrician, doctors and nurses.

• Social assessment criteria to identify real nutritional need of the patient- How many of our patients have rations and how many don’t to assess the need and see if they can be linked to the center

• Implement malnutrition IEC questionnaire.

• Make sure key nutrition messages are integrated in the patient conseling component, health promotion and community intervention in the clinic and MEW (shatabdi and AVR hubsPHCs).

• Review and adjust the nutritional indicators or the logframe and make quarterly report/ analysys/action plan of activities to be implemented in the clinic and MEW.

• Assess training needs of the medical teams and make/implement an annual training plan for the staff.

• Lead the documentation of DWBI experience in nutritional intervention. Active participation in ORs.-nutritional.

• Medical, “Psychosocial Support” and “Infection Prevention and Control” in GTB Hospital, Sewri

• The independent clinic in Govandi to provide free and quality care to the most severe cases of DRTB
