Location: Based in any of the targeted blocks in Dumka, Sahebganj,Pakur and Jamtara in Jharkhand and Ganjam in Odisha Contract Duration: Till January 31, 2023

The position holder shall be responsible to adhere & work within the ambit of Plan India’s Safeguarding Children & Young People Policy & Gender Equality Policies.
About the project:
Plan India is going to implement a project with the aim to increase the demand for, distribution and uptake of COVID-19 vaccination, particularly for the vulnerable and marginalized populations in the above mentioned Districts of Jharkhand and Odisha . The proposed intervention will focus on augmenting the Government’s COVID-19 vaccination programme with the objective to reduce vaccine hesitancy and increase demand for vaccine and strengthen the last mile connectivity. Four pronged approach to be adopted i.e. 1) awareness generation; 2) community engagement; 3) Strengthening service delivery and 4) innovation in last mile delivery.
Job Description:
• Nodal point for the respective Block level functionaries of the government in planning, developing, and implementing of the project strategies;
• Develop Block project budgets / Reports on the progress of the project; develop & implement Work Plans, quarterly and annual reports, M&E reports.
• Jointly implementation of a communication, awareness creation and demand generation strategies and various training programs
• Facilitate capacity building and routine monitoring and supervision of key project activities;.
Essential:
Desired Candidate profile Graduation degree in Social Sciences, Management or related field and a minimum of 2 years’ experience in the development project and preferably health sector, preferably managing community led health program.
• The candidate must possess basic knowledge on COVID Vaccination, capacity to communicate with various players at different levels and an ability to negotiate in a multicultural environment.
• S/He should be familiar with development project basic understanding on community mobilization and working with service providers.
• The suitable candidate should be familiar with the government health structures and functions.
• S/he will possess excellent team work abilities and the ability to work well in an inter- disciplinary team.
• S/he will have excellent written and verbal communication skills in local language.
• Candidate should be proficient in the use of computers.
• Previous experience in the state is desirable.
