Job Description

The Programme Manager will play a significant role in ActionAid’s work in the regional office. S/he will be responsible for coordinating the management of various projects in the region, managing resources, training/ capacity building of people in the projects. Reporting to the Regional Manager S/he will be assisting the Regional Manager in matters relating to programme, policy advocacy, networking, alliance building, fundraising, statutory compliance including the audit follow-up etc. Key Responsibilities include:- •Assisting the Regional Manager in matters relating to advocacy, networking, alliance building, programme audit and other activities/interventions. •Exploring the feasibility of new partnerships and growth in the Region through identification of compatible partners (NGOs, CBOs, Activists etc.,) and their networks through consultation and consensus building. •Coordinating and supporting management of Local Rights Programmes (LRPs/long term projects) and National Fund Proje

Desired Candidate Profile

Post Graduation - MSW

•Be a Post Graduate in Social Sciences/Social Work/Rural Development/ Management. •Have at least 5 years experience of managing development projects. •Have sound knowledge of macro/micro development issues relating to India. •Strong communication skills (both verbal and written) in Hindi & English; •Gender sensitive and strong conviction and skills for the empowerment of the poor and disadvantaged groups. •Excellent understanding of local/ regional level issues pertaining to social groups like Dalits, Muslims and others. •Should have good documentation skills and be proficient in basic computer. applications like Word, Excel and Power Point. •Willingness to undertake extensive travel.
