Job Description

WaterAid India is looking to onboard a reputed Public Relations (PR) firm having a good presence across the Indian media market to look after all verticals of PR for the organisation and to strengthen WaterAid India’s position as a thought leader on WASH issues in the media by securing consistent coverage in print, digital, and broadcast media.

 

Activities/deliverables:

 

Press releases – Creating/drafting press releases, press statements, and press notes, and disseminating among category A and B Print media, wire services, and news websites. This also includes disseminating global news releases shared by the WaterAid India Communications team and tweaking them for the Indian audience. The agency is expected to plan, draft and finalise a Media Performance Report with Print Value, Ad Value, Number of Media Hits, and PR Value, after the dissemination of the releases.

 

NOTE: Any translation of documents (as required) in vernacular languages will be the mandate of WaterAid India and not a part of the scope of work for the agency.

 

Opinion pieces/articles – Pitching authored articles and op-eds in national English dailies and in vernacular Category A media, and occasionally in international media outlets. This could be topical, seasonal, and could be written by WaterAid India staff in the programmes and policy teams, the state Programme directors, or the senior management of the organisation.

 

Ensuring a minimum of 2-3 op-eds per month are published in national and regional Category A media outlets including online media.


NOTE: Ensuring at least 5-6 media training sessions in the Financial Year with WaterAid India senior management members, covering different aspects of reputation management, media interactions, etc.

 

Locations: Must be based out of Delhi-NCR with a good presence pan India

 

Mandatory Terms:

  1. Abide by WaterAid India’s (JAL SEVA CHARITABLE FOUNDATION) brand guidelines.
  2. The firm must at all times work closely with the Media & Communications department and keep them abreast of any development related to WaterAid India in media.
  3. The firm should be independently able to identify avenues/opportunities, for newer content in media.
  4. Follow WaterAid India’s Child Protection Policy and Ethical Policy.
