PRIA’s work is focused on the empowerment of the excluded through capacity building, knowledge building and policy advocacy. Over three decades PRIA has promoted ‘participation as empowerment’, capacity building of community organizations, and people’s participation in governance. Initiatives are undertaken in the overall perspective of ‘making democracy work for all’ – in the political system; democratic culture in families, communities, and society; and participatory democracy with active citizenship. PRIA is looking for a Program Officer to support/coordinate various programmes/projects. Candidates who are willing to pursue their career in Social/Development sector can apply.  

Desired qualifications & experience

·        Master’s Degree in social sciences/management studies/public policy

·        0-1 year of relevant experience, preferably in CSOs and NPOs

·        Strong verbal and writing skills in English and Hindi

·        Excellent interpersonal, networking and communication skills

·        Willingness to travel extensively

·        Must be a team player with good interpersonal skills

Candidates who have just completed their Master’s Degree in relevant fields are strongly encouraged to apply.

Other terms and conditions

·        Initial appointment on consultancy contract for a period of 12 months, extendable for a longer period, on the basis of performance reviews.

·        Salary: Negotiable based on qualification and experience.

·        Women candidates with equal qualifications will also be preferred.
