Supervise, plan, and coordinate, and conduct research and program evaluation activities for the company.
Work together with the team of researchers on data collection, quantitative and qualitative analysis duties including reformatting, entering, editing, merging, and maintaining data in preparation for analysis.
Write, test, and correct errors; execute research plans and check validations.
Responsible to communicate statistical outcomes using visualization tools.
Coordinate, develop, and initiate, and respond to information and data requests received from within the organization to allow for evidence-based and data-informed policy.
Come up with policy and action suggestions based on research and analytics.
Carry out business analysis, data modelling, and logical and physical database design, and database optimization for the company.
Utilize standard reporting technologies to create, manage, and maintain reports.
Responsible for preserving and managing a centralized data dictionary for the company.
Ensure company data architectural guidelines, principles, and standards are followed in all project milestones and deliverables.
Responsible for creating appropriate documentation to support effective requirements definition, including charts, graphs, and logic model diagrams as needed.
Responsible for assessing research requirements and utilizing improved tactics for appropriate statistical programming and analysis. formal assessment of statistical output and send query reports of difficult data to the supervising division, research director, or applicable unit for accurate solution.
Ensure data integrity, improving the quality, completeness, and consistency of data.
Using the analysed project data, develop knowledge materials from time to time for the client.
Work across multiple states, peer organisations with respect to data domain.

Key Result Areas (KRAS)|
Train and bring familiarity of the field researchers on various data collection tools.
Assist the Senior Researcher in design of survey instruments.
Design and piloting of research tools for data collection from the field.
Curate various indicators from the analysed data for LLD Index.
Design and develop the architecture of LLD Index.
Establish and maintain cordial relationships with donors, clients, local key informants in the fieldwork sites and other project-targeted stakeholders.

The data research analyst is primary responsible for gathering and analysing data, maintaining and constantly improving the quality of data, and collaborating with the research team to present data in a convincing way.
Familiarity with data modelling, reporting package and assist the research team to track and utilize data analysis through various tools and languages such as Python, R, MATLAB, Tableau and/or others, and deep intellectual curiosity to come up with thoughtful actionable insights and responsible for advancing or modifying new and existing statistical/mathematical software in line with research plans.
Mathematical and statistical skills are also valuable to help gather, measure, organize, and analyse data. Ability to manage large data sets and write comprehensive report.
Excellent interpersonal skills, to work with a research team and other professionals.
Strong computer skills, with MS Word, Excel, Power point and application software.
Strong verbal and written communication skills, that is essential to manage complex technical details and communicate technical concepts to non-technical audience.
Experience & Qualifications |
Minimum of Bachelor’s degree in (Mathematics / Statistics / Economics / Business Management), and familiarity with Information Science and technology, analytics, or research field, or in any other related area.
Preferably seven years of experience in the sector of which demonstrated minimum two years’ experience in an applied research or data management environment; business/systems analysis, quality assurance, or relevant position.
Demonstrated skills on data using visualization and analysis tools and carry out quantitative analysis
Excellent numeracy skills, including advanced knowledge of Microsoft Excel and knowledge of statistical software package, such as Python, R, MATLAB, Tableau.
