The position will work in close coordination with the Program Director and will be responsible for supporting the implementation of a Government program at the State level. S/he will also drive setting up of a robust governance structure while working closely with the Samagra Shiksha, UP. The person will spend significant proportion of time at government office working directly with senior bureaucratic leadership in the state. This is a great opportunity to work in public policy implementation in a state as large and diverse as Uttar Pradesh and impact lives of millions of children from vulnerable communities. The position will be based in Lucknow.
Areas of Responsibility
The list mentioned below provides more detailed descriptions of the role to be performed. The tasks/responsibilities are supported by existing critical employees who will report to the position holder.
Strategy-
1. Create the program design, M&E design and governance structures for the project
2. Drive strategic operational initiatives, including coordination and collaboration with internal and external stakeholders, to ensure timely completion and delivery of outcomes
Operational planning and management
2. Develop a mechanism for performance monitoring of the project
3. Regular generation of reports for the Government department and the organization
4. Driving the strategic communication of the project using the communication team
Program Development-
1. Develop a comparative study between different districts identifying the good practices and integrating them with the existing processes in Uttar Pradesh
2. Identify green field States for expansion of RTE intervention
3. Develop an expansion plan for intervention in potential States
4. Work with impact assessment team to design a plan for assessing the impact of the project
Growth Development Strategy-
1. Develop potential expansion strategy and lead the expansion of the project
2. Productizing our offering of the implementation model as a toolkit that can be replicated and scaled
Community / Donor Relations-
1. Represent the organization at community engagement events
2. Participate in respective donor meetings and support donor reporting and engagement 3. Coordination between different districts, State departments and RightWalk
Required Qualifications-
1. Post-graduate degree in social sciences, the management or social work
2. 3 – 5 years of experience in operations
3. Prior experience of working with the Government will be preferred
