Job Description

Project Mukti is looking for an experienced Communications and Social Media Manager to manage and update our website and social media, and coordinate all internal and external communications. This includes communications with business partners, investors, stakeholders, staff and the communities we are working with.

The ideal candidate for this position has extensive experience in communications, journalism, or digital media and has a strong understanding of social media platforms and tools.

As a Communications and Social Media Manager, you will oversee the development of engaging content for internal audiences and external stakeholders and develop social media strategies to increase our brand’s presence across online platforms. As part of your duties you will also support the Director and managers from other departments by creating internal and external written materials such as newsletters and targeted marketing materials.

Requirements

Bachelor’s degree in Communications, Journalism, Public Relations or Digital Media

1-3 years of experience in Communications, Content Development or Social Media Management

Impeccable knowledge of grammar, punctuation, and creative copywriting skills tailored for web/social content

Superb knowledge of social media platforms, such as Instagram, Facebook, Twitter, LinkedIn, etc.

Experience with website designing on Squarespace

Excellent communication skills and the ability to express our company’s message creatively while maintaining brand standards, voice, and tone

Experience in using tools such as Canva, Photoshop, Webmaster tools, Analytics, FB Insights, etc.

Proficiency in digital media formats, HTML, InDesign, Photoshop, and WordPress

Experience with using social media tools like Hootsuite, MeetEdgar, or Sprout Social

Salary will be commensurate with experience and internal equity.
