DSS is going to implement the Developing Self-sustaining and Resource-efficient Sustainable Aquaculture Scalable Model project supported by GIZ with a key objective of creating sustainable aquaculture options for the small and marginal fish farmers. It avails technical services for initiating/expanding freshwater aquaculture with a focus on doubling production, more income, more job, food and nutritional security through resource-saving sustainable aquaculture Practices.

Responsibilities and Core Scope of Tasks:

1. Planning and overseeing projects to ensure staffs are completed in a timely fashion and within budget.

2. Substantively contribute to the design and implementation process of project interventions and M&E activities.

3. Set the right expectations and coordinate with stakeholders

4. Assemble a detailed plan to track progress during project development.

5. Overall responsible for the project implementation and designing plan.

6. Internal monitoring and reporting under the framework of the project.

7. The incumbent will be responsible for maintaining proper coordination with staff, support on capacity-building initiatives, and rapport building with various stakeholders such as FPOs, Fishery department, Aquaculture Experts and scientists and market aggregators.

8. Panning project team meetings and outreach activities, including liaising with relevant government and private sector actors.

9. Draft monthly and quarterly work plans with inputs from other team members

10. Draft progress and completion report according to donor requirements.

11. Participate in the pre-selection of sites for field activity.

12. Work closely with staff, primary stakeholders, and other stakeholders e.g, block and district line department and develop external ecosystem .

13. Any work can be assigned by the management as per the requirement.

Required Qualifications, Experience and Competencies:

Qualification:

• Master’s degree in Fisheies, Agriculture, Agribussiness, Rural management from a reputed institute.

• Additional qualification like project management programme will be preferred.

Professional Experience:

• A minimum of 3-8 years of working professional experience in CSO/INGO/ Govt. in a comparable position (ideally with international environment) having experience of project management, administrative coordination, or related experience.

• Ability to negotiate, establish, and administer programme

• Experience of working with the International NGO in the past would be preferable.

• Relevant professional experience in Aquaculture projects would be preferred.

Additional Competences:

• Willingness to travel and ability to work in teams

• Good understanding of management.

• Proficient computer skills, advance Microsoft Office (Word, PowerPoint, Outlook, and advance Excel)

• Good organisational and administrative skills.

• Ability to work independently when required

• Demonstrated ability to work in a multi-disciplinary team

• Willingness to upskill as required by the tasks to be performed – corresponding measures are agreed with management

Remuneration:

• Approximately 48000 in INR/ EUR 600 per month. TA/DA will be separate and as per organization policy.
