Job Description

The Vaccine Logistics and Cold Chain Manager will be responsible for the planning and execution of all activities related to the eVIN implementation in the designated district, in close coordination with district RCHO/DIO. This position to support the work of Cold Chain handlers at DVS and cold chain points in improving timely stock entries and their online visibility, including temperature performance of cold chain equipments.


Capacity Building and technical assistance for Government.


•Develop detailed workplan for implementation of eVIN software in the district Vaccine store and all cold chain points in consultation with District Immunization officer / RCHO.

•Support DIO/RCHOs in generating reports related to stock levels, re-order level, distribution plan, stock forecasting for vaccines and supplies and online stock monitoring to reduce excess stock/ avoid stock-outs.

•Support DIO/RCHO in cold chain space planning, following up on equipment/stabiliser repairs and planning for preventive maintenance of cold chain equipment’s.

•Support DIO/RCHO in development of vaccine/ supplies’ distribution cycle and optimum routes, for use by district vaccine store in-charge.

•Ensure that all transactions (issue, receipt, discard, transfer etc) of vaccines and syringes are entered in the eVIN system at district level as well as cold chain points.

•Review the online stock data for all vaccine/ supplies and temp logger data on daily basis and inform DIO/RCHO /DVS Incharge for desired action.

•Ensure regular & timely updation from all cold chain points after collection/ distribution/ return from the field (24 hours). During visit to CCH, ensure hand-on training on those aspects where CCH require support.

•Report dysfunctional eVIN software/ mobile/ dataloggers to SCO-IT for resolution, if not possible locally. Report if prescribed reporting formats/ stock registers / Temp logbooks are in use at all levels visited.

•Regular analysis of consumption patterns and wastage rates for vaccines and supplies to develop monthly reports to support DIO in taking corrective actions.

Monitoring and Evaluation.


Undertake field visits for 15 days to monitor the implementation of different systems and provide technical analysis regarding gaps and bottlenecks for resolution. Report Writing

Prepares periodic status reports, annual reports, case studies etc. in a qualitative and timely manner.



(a) Education - Graduation degree in Business Administration/ Public Health/ Hospital Management/ Social Sciences/ Material Management/ Supply Chain Management with knowledge of computer.


(b) Salary Range - 28,362 per month plus 5,000 per month as mobility allowance.


(c) Years of experience - At least 3 years post qualification professional work experience at the State level or District level in the health sector.


(d) Proper location - Duty station would be at CMHO/DIO Office at district level.
