Job Description

The National Health Mission has launched a health programme Rashtriya Kishore Swasthya Karyakram (RKSK) for adolescents, in the age group of 10-19 years, which would target their nutrition, reproductive health and substance abuse, among other gender issues. Under this program SVSS calls application for the position of counselor.

Responsibility

Counselors are expected to provide counseling services for adolescent on important health issues in areas such as nutrition, puberty, RTI/STI prevention and contraception and delaying marriage and child bearing etc.

Required Educational Qualification

Candidate have post graduate – Rural Development/ MA Social Sciences/Sociology/ psychology/ MSW/MBA pass in any discipline with minimum 55% and have experience in counseling & training for at least 2 years regular basis. Preference will be given to Candidates have experience in providing counseling services in Govt. / Non Govt. Health programmes. The candidate having Understanding of MS Office especially Word, Excel & PowerPoint.

Remuneration

The remuneration of the position will be proposed according to experience & Qualification & last drawn salary but will not exceed INR 14350/- per month.
