Involve was founded by IIT Graduates, Divanshu & Samyak, who left their placements to build their dream. Through Involve, we are re-imagining education by building agency in school students, targeting 1 million students in the next 5 years. We do that by leveraging a peer

learning-teaching-based approach. The approach emanates from our belief in "Kids first" and our key design principles: Co-created with students, Led by the students & participation by choice.

So far, we have directly worked with 10500+ students across India, improving their learning

outcomes (39% from the baseline to Endline, maths) and the sense of ownership & leadership with our programs. Our core program of Peer Teaching has students in their formative years of age of 12-16 teacher and mentor their juniors in public schools. We have also seen great

improvement in the learning culture of the school, teenage behavior, etc. We are backed by some prominent institutions like the Central Square Foundation, Nudge foundation for social

entrepreneurship, Wells Fargo, TFIx to name a few.

Overview of the Role:

You will be responsible for creating the numeracy and literacy content for our Peer teaching

program. The Peer Teaching program is currently being implemented in Karnataka and Madhya

Pradesh. Over the next two years, Involve plans to work in partnership with state governments.


You will be a part of the team which ideates, researches and creates academic content, which will be used by Student Leaders, learners and teachers to build learning competencies and agency in

students. This will include:


1. Content Design

? Work on numeracy content by creating more activities, worksheets, practices and

evaluations

? Expand range of numeracy content by researching topics and progressions from various

curriculums

? Work on hindi literacy program by creating lesson plans, worksheets and evaluations


2. Editing and designing

? Ensuring accuracy of all academic content

? Standardizing formats of content (editing and managing all academic content)

? Preparing all content towards making them available to the community (open source

materials)


3. Organization:

? Working with content team to contextualize and update content based on stakeholder needs

? Participating in all team activities and meetings

Desired Candidate Profile

Graduation - BA


? Education: An undergraduate degree in any stream is a must; a BEd./ teaching degree is a

plus

? Experience: 1-2 years working with curriculum design, lesson planning. Teaching experience

would be a plus

? Skills: Strong communication skills (written and oral in English and Hindi); editing and

proofreading; research and ideation; knowledge of various schools curricula; lesson and

activity planning from student lens

? Strong work Ethics: Punctuality, Sense of environment, self-driven;

? Interests: Passionate about education; understanding students and learning styles.


Location: Bengaluru (should be willing to travel regularly to field; Should be fluent in English and

Hindi, verbal, reading and writing)
