Job Description

The Project Specialist- Education, under the supervision of the Program Manager, the Specialist will be responsible for developing the education and Every Childhood Care and Education (ECCE) program and strategy. The Specialist will be responsible for working closely with implementing NGO partners to ensure quality implementation of the program, monitoring and evaluation and reporting. The Specialist provides technical guidance and management support throughout the project cycle and builds the capacity of Educo's partners in education program related competencies. The specialist will represent Educo at various internal and external education forms/networks, e.g., government bodies, and support advocacy and research activities.

RESPONSIBILITIES 

• Responsible for the development and formulation of relevant and responsive project strategies aligned to Educo's Country Program and priorities.
• Responsible for partnership/grant management: designing, implementing, monitoring and evaluating projects. We work with a partner in co-creation, co-implementation, and co-action modality, and it means we are equally responsible for the implementation of projects.
• Strongly following organization policies procedures and internally agreed on decisions of Senior Management Team.
• Implementation of projects to in line with Educo's program quality standards, planning and operations processes.
• Responsible for regular tracking of budget and progress of the projects, regular provide analytical insight; assess the effectiveness of the projects, system, and procedures; recommend improvements, new initiatives and priorities towards quality and consistent service delivery and development of technical components in program proposal writing.
• Conduct analysis and deliver the periodic review of project execution of various local partners/implementing team to ensure coherence with Head Office and external funding donor approved outcomes, budget monitoring and analyze issues and concerns, new opportunities related to project implementation, systems, and procedures to support quality implementation of the program and optimal service delivery. 
• Analytical work is effectively organized and delivered within established procedures and resources, well-integrated with the related work of colleagues and within the anticipated expectations of clients.
• Document EDUCO's continuous learning and improvement on the specific subject area to develop it as a resource material for internal use and for sharing to other stakeholders.
• Build the team's capacity on the specific subject area to implement the program/ projects by providing appropriate technical support to project staff/local partner

EDUCATION QUALIFICATIONS

• Master's degree in Humanities, Education, Development Studies, Social Work, Social Studies
• Essential fluency in English, Hindi
• Strongly desirable: Marathi reading, written and speaking  

WORK EXPERIENCE

• Minimum 5 years of technical experience in education-related programs is required.
• Working with I/NGO for children and Adolescents.
• Grant management experience- worked with implementing partner organisation 
• Direct interventions or through local partners (NGO) of education program, policy advocacy, networking, etc.
