Job Description

Specific responsibilities include


• Support the Project Lead to ensure that all planned activities are implemented in efficient and timely manner and in keeping with commitments made to the PR and Global Fund

• Supporting the technical assessment of agencies and others engaged for the project

• Designing and facilitating training programmes as required by the project

• Providing technical inputs into development of all materials developed and disseminated by the project

• Training all project staff and SSR staff on clinical aspects of TB and conducting regular refresher/update sessions on new developments

• Providing technical inputs to the M&E team in finalizing formats, developing reports and tracking PF indicators

• Coordinate with programme and technical staff in the project’s states

• Exploring and tracking recent scientific updates which are relevant to the project

• Designing and implementation of any OR/special studies under the project

• Developing new trainings for TB Champions as required

• Working with the team to generate policy recommendations for advocacy

• Undertaking monitoring and supportive supervision visits to the states to give feedback

• Participating in all SSR and state project reiew meetings

• Any other responsibilities as assigned

Qualifications, Experience and competencies required:

• Medical degree with relevant Masters in Public Health/Community Health

• At least 5-10 years experience in working in public health

• Should have a clear understanding of all clinical aspects of TB as well as current policies and programmes being implemented

• Experience in working on TB will be an asset

• Experience in working with communities will be an asset

• Ability to track and analyse technical data for decision-making

• Ability to study, interpret and analyse research findings

• Ability to effectively manage relationships and coordinate with a pan-India team based at different locations

• Ability to communicate clearly in English and Hindi

• Willingness to travel across India
