Job Description

SAATHII seeks applications for a short-term consultancy position of Gender Project Consultant.


Qualification and Skills:

---Senior woman researcher with at least 10 years of experience in qualitative research in gender related fields.

---Candidates having additional professional qualifications will get additional weightage.

o Preferably part of WGH movement

o Proven experience in short-term consultancies and delivering quality on time

o Familiarity with cis and trans women’s leadership and advocacy in health issues

o Experience working with a range of stakeholders from Community Health Workers and health policy makers

---Excellent oral and written communication skills in English and Hindi.

---Willingness to travel as per project requirement.

---Sound computer skills, including use of Internet, MS Office™ software and other software

---Ability to work independently and as a team player in a complex, multicultural environment.


Roles and Responsibilities:


---Convene the members in a retreat and document the proceedings.

---Work on website creation, social media presence, registration of organization and grant writing

---Conduct/coordinate Webinars

---Engage in Advocacy and policy related activities with different stakeholders and campaigns

---Create chapter strategy, fundraising strategy

---Undertake outreach activities for documenting women leaders in the health sector and men leaders who are allies and to develop lists of women leaders in the health sector and developing an India-specific list.

---Participate in preparing fact sheets on the following:

o Gender analysis of healthcare leadership in India, including medical, nursing and para professionals.

o Challenges faced by frontline women health workers in India

o Factors impacting women’s participation in leadership positions in healthcare in India

---Document data gaps and make recommendations

---Explore barriers and enablers to women’s leadership in health through in-depth interviews and focus groups

---Document barriers and enablers to Community Health Workers (CHW) progressing into leadership, as well as lessons learned from national programs (elected officials).

---Compile secondary data; conduct interviews with CHWs and health policy makers.


Consultancy Fee: Consultancy fee will be commensurate with skills, qualifications, years ‘of experience and current / last pay scale.
