Roles and responsibilities
- Coordinate with education stakeholders at different levels (school, panchayat, block, district) to facilitate the programme processes and activities. This will include training and capacity-building interventions.
- Facilitate the assessment of children on selected learning dimensions and provide troubleshooting support to schools for managing assessment processes and data.
- Organize and facilitate HCD workshops for all 20 selected institutions in the district to enable them to analyse issues, identify the key challenges, and ideate and prototype solutions.
- Support school management and other stakeholders in each school to identify needs based on their solutions and collate purchase and other requirements to facilitate centralized procurement. Ensure that schools understand the guidelines for raising requirements.
- Liaise with local vendors/contractors to ensure that plans are executed with high quality, and in a timely manner.
- Identify professional development needs of teachers and communicate them to the Education programme team in Patna and Delhi for planning need-based training programmes.
- Conduct regular field visits for onsite support to partner schools to enable implementation of solutions developed and provide feedback for iteration.
- Facilitate review meetings to discuss implementation of solutions, course corrections, assessments, and other implementation challenges. Develop these platforms as local education communities of practice to facilitate learning across schools.
- Document case studies, success stories, event reports, meeting minutes etc. in Hindi and English, and share learning systematically with the state and national team. Develop a monthly progress report to share with key stakeholders in the district.
- Support the planning and execution of events, particularly at the district level.
- Support external stakeholders (experts, learning partners and others) in coordinating their activities, like scheduling discussions with relevant stakeholders for studies, training etc.
- Support other activities like communications, visits etc., as required

Required Qualifications and Skills
- Ambitious, and hard-working professional committed to improving lives among India’s most marginalized communities. Must share a sense of urgency about development and needs to be comfortable in dealing with ambiguity. Innovative and creative mindset, energetic, reflective and solution oriented.
- Graduate degree in any stream. Preference will be given to candidates with a degree in the field of education, social/rural development, and social sciences.
- 3-5 years of relevant professional experience within the education and development sector. Must have prior experience of working with schools, especially Government schools. Preference will be given to persons having a strong understanding of the education system and key stakeholders at the district level.
- Good facilitation skills with the ability to engage in conversations with various stakeholders from school to block level.
- Good verbal and written communication skills in English and Hindi.
- Demonstrates an interest in learning new approaches to education.
- Conversant with emerging technologies in the education and development sector. Proficiency in MS PowerPoint, Word and Excel is required.
- Must be willing to travel extensively within the district
- Excellent time management skills with demonstrated ability to prioritize
- Excellent interpersonal and team skills – needs to work with teams across departments and institutions.
