Job Description
Responsibilities
- Conduct and facilitate causality assessment meetings for all the COVID 19 vaccine-related AEFIs/AESIs
- Liaise with trained AEFI experts for the special review of COVID 19 related cases
- To collate available scientific evidence on pertinent immunization-related issues esp. COVID related vaccine, including review of scientific literature for regular sharing with experts at national level and state level for informed causality assessments.
- Facilitate the operationalization of signal detection and review processes for COVID-related adverse events.
- Prepare quarterly reports, and publications to document progress in AEFI surveillance.
- Assist in day-to-day operations, coordination of project activities and documenting project activities.
- Travel to state/UTs to facilitate/support causality assessment by state AEFI committees
Qualifications and Skills
JSI seeks a results-oriented individual with the ability to produce and lead teams in producing highquality deliverables, managing multiple concurrent tasks, and meeting tight deadlines with attention to detail. The successful candidate is required to have:
- MD (Medicine/Community Medicine/Pharmacology) with at least 3-5 years of experience in the field of public health surveillance or clinical trials.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills in English and Hindi
- Knowledge of public health issues, immunization programs, drug/vaccine pharmacovigilance
- Excellent interpersonal relations; ability to network, work in a multi-cultural team environment, and work harmoniously with multiple partners
- Ability to undertake travel to states / UTs at short notice
- Capable of introducing innovative strategies
- Good working knowledge of computer applications, especially MS office
- Strong and proven documentation and organizational skills
