Job Description

Job Position : Lead - MEAL (Global Programme India)


Reports to : Sr. Programme Lead - Global Programme India


Location : CI Head Office, Delhi


Appointment : On contractual basis for 1 year (renewable on yearly basis subject to performance)


Joining : Immediate Joining

This position will provide specific MEAL support to this programme including: developing and strengthening MEAL systems as per Caritas India standards; build capacities of the Caritas India State Teams on MEAL systems.


Key Accountabilities:


• Develop a MEAL Plan, oversee and manage overall MEAL system and its implementation in the programme

• Assist project partners in the preparation of a MEAL Plan

• Measurement and assessment of programme indicators (outcome, output, progress and performance indicators, etc.)

• Provide technical lead to quality MEAL system design, including tools and methods

• Conduct periodic monitoring visits for quality improvement

• Ensure compliance with donor agency MEAL requirements

• Support the Knowledge Manager in operational research and development of knowledge products

• Coordinate implementation of program evaluations (impact, baseline, mid-term, final, etc.); support analysis and formulation of recommendations

• Conduct need based capacity building programs of program staff on MEAL system

• Lead the design of beneficiary feedback, complaints, redress mechanisms incorporating beneficiary input in the project cycle (design, monitoring, and evaluation); ensure data confidentiality

• Provide inputs for review meetings / reflection events to enable midcourse corrections by program team


Knowledge/ Skills :


• Understanding of the socio-economic issues at national / state / regional levels in the development sector

• Possesses an understanding of current concepts and related frameworks/ approaches in MEAL Systems in the global / domestic scenario

• Possesses relevant knowledge on new developments in related functional area

• Ability to grasp and assimilate relevant functional knowledge and synthesize into innovative concepts / programs for implementation under the program

• Development of plans and strategies in MEAL systems

• Excellent / Good communication skills and articulation of perspective and agenda

• Developing and maintaining congenial and professional interpersonal skills

• Facilitate knowledge sharing and confidence building among team members


Qualification / Work Experience: B Tech / Masters or Graduate in Social Work or Social Sciences with 3 5 years in similar role in development organizations with in-depth understanding of MEAL systems and its implementation in developmental projects.


Salary: CTC INR 60,000/- to 70,000/- per month
