Job Description

The Senior Program Officer for Partnerships (Udaan Collaborative) would be working with MOMENTUM Country & Global Leadership: India-Yash project. The project vision is to demonstrate innovative models to leapfrog young people’s reproductive health and family planning outcome. It will also promote adaptation of possible models from evidence-based high impact interventions demonstrated in previous programs. This project is also expected to catalyze lessons learned from USAID’s previous investments on FP/RH for youth.Jhpiego is hiring Senior Officer for Partnerships (Udaan Collaborative) to engage corporates and donors to generate funds that would aid in expanding the scale of current programmatic operations; increase sustainability of project initiatives by embedding corporate role during execution as well as securing buy-in to continue the activities beyond project funding.


Udaan Collaborative and the e-RUPI pilot within it presents an exciting opportunity to corporates to deepen their ties with India’s burgeoning young population by being associated with an initiative that is committed to their health and well-being. At its peak, Udaan Collaborative is envisaged as the world’s largest network of stakeholders committed to the health and well-being of young people involving pharmacists, health care providers, corporates, other alliances and donors. Corporate support in the context of e-RUPI will entail sponsorship of vouchers and creating demand for these vouchers through communication and outreach to young people straddling on ground and digital campaigns.


The selected candidate will report to Deputy Chief of Party. S/he will engage with various agencies contracted for execution of Udaan Collaborative elements like on-ground and digital communications, public relations, provider behavior change communications and helpline.


Roles and responsibilities

• Identify possible areas of partnership to grow the contraceptive market; develop offerings; craft compelling value propositions for priority corporates; prepare briefs/pitch deck and lead/ support the project team in corporate outreach to ink the partnership.

• Develop a two-year Partnership Strategy, a semi-annual plan and key quarterly milestones. Lead the implementation of the strategy in close coordination with the MCGL team.

• Develop roadmap for sustaining the Udaan Collaborative

• Establish a systematic process for partner outreach and relationship management.

• Develop menu of options for corporate funding in discussion with technical leads for MCGL interventions

• Create a strong prospect list of corporates aligned with the project deliverables

• Develop high level pitch stories & creative customised proposals curated for different segments

• Undertake outreach and engagement with potential partners

• Organize the required follow ups, engagements, liaising and discussions needed to bring the partner on board

• Build excellent relationship with different decision-making units of corporates

• Generate new ideas, insights & approaches to raise funds. Develop compelling proposals, concept notes, presentations and any support materials as may be needed for submission to corporates

• Build and develop commercial and strategic relationships with our key target partners to unlock marketing and CSR budgets

• Negotiate and finalize deals with partners and alliances that benefit the collaborative.

• Co- create execution strategies & implementation plan with corporates committed to action/ funding.

• Create visual concepts, by hand or using computer software, to communicate ideas that inspire and inform resource mobilization and broader partnership efforts within the project

• Prepare regular reports and presentations for a variety of purposes and audiences summarizing facts, developments, and potential collaboration opportunities

• Develop roles and responsibilities for each stakeholder that may be involved in implementing corporate-funded activities and facilitate periodic reviews with a funding partner.

• Assist in identifying potential partners for routing corporate funds.

• Work closely with stakeholders involved – donor, Jhpiego MCGL, and recipient for the seamless success of the contract

• Any other task as assigned by the organization
