The project office is in Santa Cruz (West), Mumbai and the researcher will have to report to the office. Occasionally, the researcher might have to travel locally within Mumbai city, Thane or Raigad districts in Maharashtra to engage with participants including adolescents, youth, community stakeholders and parents. Researcher will work closely with a senior Principal Investigator and for a leading organization in education.
This partnership, which is part of an agreement with an internationally reputed agency, is expected to support 2 states in India to examine the hypothesis and assumptions with regards to parenting of adolescents program; understand the barriers, perceptions, perspectives of multiple stakeholders on adolescent parenting; capacity assessment and opportunities in form of existing skills and platforms across multiple flagship programs to roll out the adolescent parenting program; and use human centred design approach to test prototypes and subsequently support states in rolling out the program.
The position is conceived as a full-time one. However, we could offer part-time options to deserving candidates.
TASKS:
1. Management of the project on a day to day basis.
2. Coordination of activities at local level, within the state and across two states and occasionally with partner agencies
3. Able to design and implementation of interventions or help th principal investigator in this process.
4. Conduct evaluation research
5. Secondary research including reviews of relevant published articles, documents and reports
6. Primary research including surveys, monitoring, in-depth interviews and focus group discussions
7. Note taking in-depth interviews (IDIs) and focus group discussions FGDs
8. Prepare transcripts from audio recordings of any interviews and group meetings
9. Data management (in Excel or SPSS)
10. Data analysis – quantitative descriptive analysis
11. Support qualitative thematic analysis for qualitative research
12. Generate tables and write findings in a report and make power point presentations as required
13. Make presentations and attend meetings at different forums.
REMUNERATION:
In the range of INR 27000/- per month to 35,000/- per month depending upon educational qualifications and experience.

EDUCATIONAL QUALIFICATIONS AND SKILLS:
A Masters degree in any of the social-behavioral sciences (including education, psychology, sociology, anthropology, social work, public health, among other related disciplines). A master’s degree will be preferred; however, we are open to accepting applications from experienced persons with only Bachelor’s degree. Experience in managing research projects, conducting secondary and primary research in a health or social sciences topic is essential. Fluency in English (written and verbal) and Hindi (verbal) is also essential. Health Policy and Management graduates can also apply as long as they are adequately skilled in conducting research. Report to work at the Santa Cruz office.
