Responsibilities of Senior Manager – HR and Operations:
• Responsible for the overall organizational HR and administrative management, and adherence to organisation systems, statutory and donor compliances, by the program and finance teams
• Ensure that the HR policies and procedures are uniformly implemented across SAATHII offices and projects
• Maintain, update and share the HR MIS with management on monthly basis
• Monitor national and state policy developments relevant to HR and statutory requirements, share information on these, and ensure SAATHII complies
• Serve as a subject matter expert in providing timely advice, direction and recommendation to the Management periodically on employee grievances.
• Facilitating good work culture, driving employee engagement and welfare and handling performance management cases.
• Ensure critical issues are prioritized and resolved as quickly as possible.
• Ensure the staff recruitment and retention processes at all stages from developing and posting job ads to reference checks and then staff selection and joining to exit procedures in across branch offices
• Develop employee orientation curriculum with periodic changes to orient new staff about organization and job responsibilities.
• Ensure filing and updating of personnel files for easy reference and retrieval.
• Develop technology-based MIS and dashboards for HR system monitoring, and to ensure timely update. On periodic basis the dashboard details have to be shared with the Management
• Oversee the payroll processing, and ensure that all statutory compliances and deductions have been taken into consideration correctly
• Help the Board of Trustees and Management Committee (MC) in developing a long-term strategy and its corresponding operation plans, support in organisational development by strengthening the systems, and coordination between the finance and program teams.
• Preparing and collating annual and other organisation level reports, taking care of website development and maintenance
• Undertake other activities and responsibilities as required by the organization and recommended by the Management Committee and Board of Trustees

Qualifications and Experience:
1. Postgraduate degree in Management / HR or its equivalent with at least eight years of relevant experience.
2. Proven ability in managing all operational and HR aspects of a large organization / institution
3. Ability to work independently and as a team player in a complex, multicultural environment and guide / support a large group of senior level directors and managers of public health, finance and administration background
4. Exemplary oral and written communication skills in English, and at least oral communication skills in Hindi. Knowledge of other local languages will be an added advantage.
5. Ability to build linkages and work in partnership with multiple stakeholders including government, private sector, development partners, and community-based organisation and groups.
6. Willingness to be located in Delhi / Chennai, and travel at least 10-12 days per month to various SAATHII offices and operation areas across India
7. Sound computer skills, including use of internet and MS office (advanced skills in using MS Excel, Tally, and HR software, will be an added advantage)
