Job Description

Scope of Work:

  • Maintain accounting vouchers entries
  • Maintain payments through NEFT/RTGS and Cheques
  • Maintain Bank Reconciliation
  • Assist during Internal Audits.
  • Maintain Petty Cash Book & Store and Accounts Books
  • Maintain Asset Register
  • Maintain day to day Accounts in Tally & reporting (MIS) for various donor/ grants/projects/programmes
  • Calculation and preparation of TDS and Income Tax Returns
  • Filing all statutory returns online including IT/FCRA
  • Assist in disbursement of grants to partners
  • Performs other duties and responsibilities as assigned by the Head of finance team.

Contract Period:  18 month (renewable) fixed term contract.

Compensation:

  • Salary will be commensurate between forty thousand to sixty thousand based on the experience and qualification.
  • Group medical insurance coverage of the consultant and her dependents and other benefits like leave etc. will be covered by the organization.

Eligibility Criteria

Minimum qualification required: Bachelor’s degree / Post-Graduate in Commerce, Accountancy, and Financial Management from a recognised University. Basic understanding of Generally Accepted Accounting Principles (GAAP).

 

Work Experience:  4-6 years of experience

 

Essential skills required: Applicant should prior experience of working in finance operations of a mid-size NGO/ organisation, preferably a grant-making institution, and have a good understanding of regulatory frameworks and statutory compliances including FCRA, GST, EPF and Income Tax. Advanced proficiency in Tally and other finance software, and fluency in written and spoken English.
