Rural and Urban Development
The Position involves intensive (day to day) travel to the target villages, block and district headquarter, based on the programmatic needs.
Roles & Responsibilities:
1. Strategy & Planning:
• Development and Implementation of Annual Plan for the Unit and Team Assigned ensuring the agreed programmatic timelines.
• Work with the Line-Supervisor, in developing and maintaining the operational framework.
• Ensuring periodic updates and adjustments as and when needed, involving the line supervisor.
2. Financial Management:
• Maintain and review monthly, quarterly, and annual budget for the programme, as per the approved budget, developing plans for any modification (if any needed/recommended) with due consent from the line supervisor and donor representative.
• Review, Monitor and Support outflow along with finance person to ensure a consistent tracking of expenditure, minimizing the variance and recommend/adopt cost effective measures in programme implementation.
• Ensure adherence of organization’s finance manual are followed in all instance during the programme tenure.
3. HR Management:
• Ensure smooth selection and induction of staff as per the programme/project requirement.
• Recommend and organize trainings/orientations as and when required for the staff to improve the capacity.
• Develop and Set Appraisal of assigned human resource as per the IGSSS performance management system and HR policies.
4. Liaison:
• Develop and maintain positive engagement with external stakeholders including government agencies.
• Ensure active participation at village, block and district level programmes.
• Ensure active participation of village level bodies developed during the programme tenure in the block and district level consultation and workshops.
5. Implementation:
• Ensure that all the programmatic activities in the area are implemented as per the approved timelines ensuring the quality.
• Periodic Monitoring of Programme Progress and provides inputs to the assigned staff, if necessary, seek inputs from the line supervisor and thematic experts.
• The Project Coordinator should ensure that the local self-governance is involved in all the project activities. The main responsibility of the rural and city coordinators will be to link the projects with local self-governance and work in coordination for better convergence.
6. Reporting:
• Development and Submission of Programme Progress reports as per the donor reporting formats within the timelines and expected quality.
• Ensure submission on Internal Progress and MIS Updates as per the programme timelines.
• Ensuring proactive visibility on organization social media handles through regular updates on programmatic interventions and their initial impacts/outputs.
7. Administration:
• Ensure contract staff mobility payments, procurement of goods and services as per the procurement guidelines.
• Ensure effective management of IGSSS MIS Systems for overall programme monitoring and evaluation.
Remuneration / Package / Benefits: Maximum Budgeted Salary upto 35k or shall be based on experience and overall fit including PF as per law. In addition - range of benefits including medical insurance, personal accident insurance, and opportunities for further personal development.

Qualification & Experience:
• Postgraduate with advance degree in either Social Science/ Agriculture/ Geography/ Environmental Science.
• Minimum 03-05 year of experience in the field of development sector preferably in the field of Watershed Management, Agriculture, Environment, Geology, Climate Change.
• Knowledge of GIS mapping tools is preferred.
• Experience in Handling Field Teams of 4-5 people.
• Proficient in Computer Operations – Management of Data Analysis Files on Digital Platforms and Microsoft Office Applications.
• Strong interpersonal skills and ability to build relationships with stakeholders.
• Women and local candidate from Maharashtra is preferred.
