Job Description

Key Responsibilities:


(1) Overall, in-charge of implementing the CSS component of the program with High-risk population, especially among MSM and FSW community


(2) Closely working with Technical Director for engagement of the community members to strengthen the community systems


(3) Cordinate with the focal CSS Project officers of the project and Nodal SACS officers to ensure the smooth implementation of the CSS component of the project


(4) Liaison with other implementing partners to develop synergy of the various activities implemented under the CSS component of the project


(5) Participate in providing Technical Assistance to the Community Based Organizations along with the identified consultants on various thematic areas.


(6) Work closely with NACO, SACS and DAPCU officials to ensure that the Community championship program is implemented as per the NACO guidelines and the required support mechanisms are set in place.


(7) Identify and undertake advocacy activities in the region to address the needs of the community.


(8) Oversee the Innovative Seed Grants component of the project.


(9) Provide guidance to the NETREACH Peers in linking the community with HIV and Community related services


(10) Work with Monitoring and Evaluation team to develop a reporting mechanism for documenting the progress of the CSS component of the program.

5. TIME INVOLVEMENT


The CSS Coordinator will devote 100% time (8 hours x 5 days every week) to the organization. The CSS Coordinator reports to Technical Director.

We are an equal pay employer. Compensation offered is at par with market rate.

Eligibility Criteria

QUALIFICATIONS, EXPERIENCE, AND COMPETENCIES:


Essential:


(1) Master’s degree in Social Sciences, Health, Development or equivalent discipline

(2) At least 5 years of progressively responsible project management experience in public health, at the national level

(3) Experience in HIV/AIDS sector especially in the implementation of Care & Support/ community systems strengthening programmes.


Skills and Competencies:


1. Experience in HIV/AIDS Sector especially in the implementation of community systems strengthening programmes.

2. Experience of collaborating with community organisations and groups to deliver excellent HIV and health interventions.

3. Demonstrated knowledge and understanding of advocacy initiatives and project management.

4. Experience of providing technical support to, and capacity building of organisations, especially those working with key population at grassroots level (MSM and FSW groups)

5. Strong commitment to team-working, collaboration, consensus building and negotiation

6. Excellent analytical, writing and verbal communication skills.

7. Ability to work effectively in teams as well as independently.

8. Ability and willingness to undertake travel approximate 40% to 50% of time primarily within India where the programme is being implemented.

9. Proficient in English, Hindi, and any other regional language of India
